Short version: this site has no user accounts, sells no data and runs no advertising trackers. Analytics and YouTube players only load if you allow them. If you email me, I use your details to reply and, if we work together, to run the project.
1. Who runs this site
This website, lobhdhomne.vercel.app and any domain that points to it (the "Site"), is run by Lobh Dhomne, who also operates LBD Media Services, a sole proprietorship based in India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Lobh Dhomne and LBD Media Services. "You" means anyone who visits the Site or contacts us through it.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, we are the controller.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data collected through the Site, through emails you send us from the Site, and through enquiries about LBD Media video editing or developer work. Paid projects are also governed by the written quote or agreement signed for that project.
It does not cover YouTube, Vercel, Google or any other service we link to. Those services have their own policies.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data you give us
- Briefs, contact forms and emails. When you send the brief form on the LBD Media page or the contact form on the Developer page, what you typed is delivered to our email inbox through Web3Forms, a form delivery service. The Site itself does not store it. We receive your name, email address, your message and, for briefs, the type of video, your deadline and any links you include. If the delivery service cannot be reached, the form opens your own email app instead with the same details filled in.
- Project files. If we work together, you may share footage, audio, logos, scripts and other material, usually through a link to Google Drive, WeTransfer or a similar service.
- Billing details. For paid work: your name or business name, billing address, GSTIN if you have one, and payment records.
3.2 Data collected automatically
- Analytics (only if you click Accept). Vercel Web Analytics records pages viewed, the referring website, approximate country, browser, operating system and device type. It does not use cookies for this, does not build a profile of you across other websites, and we cannot use it to identify you.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, automatically processes technical data such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser type to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
- Your cookie choice. Stored in your own browser (see section 6).
3.3 Data we do not collect
We do not ask for or knowingly collect government ID numbers, bank or card numbers through the Site, passwords, precise location, or sensitive personal data such as health information.
4. How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and send quotes.
- To carry out paid editing or development work, share drafts and deliver final files.
- To send invoices, receive payments and keep accounting and tax records.
- To understand which pages are visited, so the Site can be improved (only with your consent).
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam or misuse.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and GST record keeping.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask to receive them.
5. Legal basis
- Consent: analytics and YouTube embeds that load automatically. You give it by clicking Accept and can withdraw it at any time through "Cookie settings".
- Voluntary provision for a specified purpose (a legitimate use under section 7 of the DPDP Act) and, where GDPR applies, steps before entering a contract: replying to emails and briefs you send us.
- Contract: carrying out paid projects.
- Legal obligation: keeping invoices and financial records.
- Legitimate interests (where GDPR applies): basic security logging and spam prevention.
6. Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technology, such as local storage, works in a similar way. When you first visit, the Site asks whether you accept or decline. Declining does not stop any part of the Site from working.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| lobh_cookie_choice | This Site | Remembers whether you clicked Accept or Decline so the prompt does not keep appearing. | Local storage, necessary | Until you clear your browser data |
| brief_sent, contact_sent | This Site | Stops a form from being sent repeatedly within one minute (spam protection). | Session storage, necessary | Until you close the tab |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Vercel | Counts page views. Uses no cookies. Loaded only after Accept. | Analytics, optional | Not stored on your device |
| YouTube player cookies | Google / YouTube | Set by YouTube when an embedded player loads, for playback, preferences and security. | Third party, optional | Set by Google. See Google's cookie information |
YouTube players on this Site use the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. If you decline, a player only loads when you press its button. If you accept, players load automatically.
Changing your choice: click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. You can also clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings.
7. Third-party services
| Service | What it does here | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. (USA) | Hosts the Site, serves pages, provides Web Analytics. | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Google LLC / YouTube (USA) | Embedded video players and third-party video links. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Web3Forms | Delivers brief and contact form submissions to our email inbox. | web3forms.com/privacy |
| Your email provider and ours | Carry the emails you send us. | Depends on the provider |
For paid projects we may also use file-sharing services (such as Google Drive or WeTransfer) and a payment provider or bank to receive payments. We only share what those services need to do their job.
8. When data is shared
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only:
- with the service providers listed above, to run the Site and our work;
- with a chartered accountant or tax adviser, for accounting and tax filing;
- with freelance collaborators on your project, only if you agree first and only what they need;
- when required by law, a court order or a government authority in India; or
- to protect our rights, or the safety of any person, where the law allows.
9. International transfers
Vercel, Google and Web3Forms may process data on servers outside India, including in the United States. We rely on these providers' own safeguards for such transfers, and the DPDP Act allows transfers except to countries the Government of India restricts.
10. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Project emails and briefs: for the length of the project and up to 3 years after, in case of follow-up work or disputes.
- Raw footage and project files: 60 days after final delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing, then deleted.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as Indian income tax and GST law requires (currently up to about 8 years).
- Analytics: kept in aggregated form by Vercel under its own retention rules.
11. Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS, uses strict security headers, stores no form data on its own servers, and contains no passwords or secret keys in its code. Client files are shared through access-controlled links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- know what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated;
- have your data erased once it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect anything done before you withdrew);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (DPDP Act);
- object to or restrict processing, and receive your data in a portable format (where GDPR applies);
- have your grievance addressed, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email us from the address you used before, if possible, so we can confirm it is you. We aim to reply within 30 days.
13. Children
The Site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn we have collected a child's data without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.
14. Links to other sites
The Site links to YouTube and other websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data. Please read their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again where required.
